There's more to genealogy than dates and places

Experienced Genealogy Researcher

My dad sparked my interest in family history research. I took it up in earnest about 25 years ago and, as they say, genealogy is never done.

Initially, it was a thrill just to find basic information about my ancestors - names, dates, places, occupations ...

But as I delved ever further into their lives, I soon realized that a true sense of family, and of belonging was seeping into my very bones.

We can learn so much about our own selves through the stories of our ancestors. Our very DNA is made up of all that they were and experienced.
